Where do you usually go when you want to
read a book with a drink, or have a chat with friends? There is Starbucks and
Dr.Robbins at Ewha, but these are common and many people visit these places.
Did you know that there are some special hidden places you may not know about?
1.
Ewha Sarang
There is a small space located in the
basement of the Research Block of the Ewha-POSCO Building which is very popular
among Ewha students. It's always crowded, especially during the lunch hours.
This place is very suitable for students because it has many tables and good music, and the average price is rather cheap. Each
menu option is about \2500~3500. The drinks are very cheap (a cup of Americano is just
\1800).
Ewha
Sarang provides many kinds of Kimbob that
can be rarely found elsewhere. Get there in plenty of time though, because the
queue for Kimbob is very long. Also,
if you want tuna Kimbob, you have to
be fast because this popular item sells out quickly. In addition to Kimbob, Ewha Sarang offers various bread
and pastry products as it has a Paris Baguette inside.

2.
Lounge O
Lounge O is located near Helen Hall, at
the bottom of a wooden staircase that leads to the Central Library. There are
many tasty dishes here, and the chef told us that Gorgonzola Pizza, Paner Rose
Shrimp Pasta, Kimchi Fried Rice and Smoked Salmon Salad are the most popular
ones.
Kimchi Fried Rice accounts for 40% of the
sales, and the average price is reasonable at about \5000~7000. Compared to other
Italian cafeterias outside, the price is very reasonable.
The atmosphere is cozy here and it's very
clean. In addition, Lounge O provides blankets for customers to keep warm and
newspapers to read. Also, customers can enjoy meals or coffee on the terrace, so
they can enjoy every season.

3.
CNN Café
In the international building, there is the
CNN Café on the 1st floor. We wondered about the name of the Café,
but we couldn’t find information about the name origins. However, it has an “international”
feeling and people can listen to CNN news with earphones if they want!
In the café, there are many outlets and USB
ports on the tables, so it provides a convenient study environment. They not
only provide drinks but also meals like hot dog and sandwiches, so when
customers study there, they don’t have to go out for meals.
The CNN café has some special menu items such
as cinnamon stick, and the food is inexpensive but good. This is one of the
good points of this place.
The prices of coffee or sandwiches were
pretty reasonable, and the quality was fine with good service. Hot Americano is
\2000, and sandwiches can be purchased from \2500.
4.
NesCafe
NesCafe is known as a brand of instant
coffee in Korea, but at Ewha campus, we could find two NesCafes! One is under the
international house and the other was located in the Ewha-POSCO building (research
Block 7th floor). Both of them are located in “hidden” places so many
people may not know about them.
These spaces have several positive points. When we visited them, there were only a few people, so they have silent
environments. Also, the chairs seemed very comfortable and Ewha students and
teachers are able to get a 20% discount for expresso.

Ewha Womans Univerisity
cooperative
Not only are there convenient stores such
as CU or GS25, but also there are many mini stores at Ewha. Those stores are
living cooperative associations, and if you join as a member, they will provide
a point card system worth 5% of your purchases. These stores not only sell
processed or frozen food that can be bought at any convenient stores, they also
sell Ewha souvenirs.
You can get information about location,
operating hour and call numbers of these cooperatives at any cooperatives, but don't forget that cooperatives close earlier than convenient stores!
Did you know that there are such places at
Ehwa? After exploring the whole campus, we found that there are many special
places where students can take a break.
